In December 2016 I had the pleasure of participating as a guest lecturer, together with Alex F. Newsome, in the Videomaking Workshop organized by FabLab Vittorio Veneto. During the meeting we gave a theoretical lecture on videomaking and film language, followed by a practical exercise.
Lecture and Practical Workshop
The session began with an overview of the fundamentals of film language, aimed at a group of about 20 participants. Next, we continued with a hands-on workshop in which students were able to experience the use of various set equipment, including video camera, slider, and other professional filming tools.

Filming and Editing
The practical exercise involved the creation of a scene from PROJECT MANHATTAN, a screenplay written by Alex F. Newsome and Jurgen Bellet. The material shot during the day was used to create a demonstration video, designed as promotional content for the full course and distributed to workshop participants.
At the end of the workshop, a quick edit of the scenes shot was made to give students a preview of the final result. The final edit was completed later with time for careful post-production.
